Meet The Designers

At the heart of The Tulip Girls lies a story born among the blossoms of Sequoia Florals in Sonoma County. Bound by our love for crafting floral crowns, we, the Tulip Girls, forged more than a workplace; we found kindred spirits sharing a zest for life, fun, and floral artistry.

Our journey began with petals and laughter, crafting vibrant arrangements mirroring the vibrancy of our friendship.
As Sonoma County Natives and proud members of the LGBTQ+ Community, we infuse diversity and inclusivity into every creation.

For years, we’ve been the dynamic duo behind countless events, blending creativity and camaraderie.
The idea of Tulip Girls blossomed naturally, a creative outlet for our shared passion

With love,

Kelsey, Floral Maverick & Bloom Enthusiast

With a dazzling 12-year stint in the floral wonderland, Kelsey is not your average florist – she’s a floral sorceress with an unconventional twist! Starting her journey at SRJC’s floral program, she blossomed into a blooming artist with a transfer to CalPoly for an agricultural and environmental plant science degree, with a focus on horticulture.

She isn’t just about pretty petals; she’s the maestro of the grower-to-designer symphony. From the roots of the soil to the tip of her pruners, she’s lived the floral lifecycle. But don’t let the dirt fool you, this green-thumbed groove queen is equally at home on the hiking trails as she is in her vibrant studio.

Seasons are her palette, currently vibing on hairpieces and flower crowns, Kelsey is your go-to guru for turning any day into a floral festival. Bright colors are her love language, and her creations are a kaleidoscopic explosion of hues that would make a rainbow jealous. After college, she’s back in Sonoma County, shaking things up at Sequoia Florals, and sprinkling floral magic through classes she teaches.

Kelsey dances to the beat of locally grown rhythms but isn’t afraid to throw international florals in the mix. She’s all about embracing the wild and making the impossible bloom. When not orchestrating a floral fiesta, Kelsey is creating pieces that are as unique as the blooms she works with. So, if you’re looking for a floral experience that’s part circus, part garden party, Kelsey is your ticket to a technicolor dreamland.

Marie’s dedication to mastering her craft led her to pursue an associate degree in floral design from SRJC, solidifying her foundation in the artistry of blooms. Certified in floral design, she seamlessly blends expertise with an unwavering passion for creating stunning, memorable arrangements.

With almost three years of experience while employed at Sequoia Florals, Marie is not just a floral designer but a seasoned professional who has freelanced for two years, bringing her signature touch to farm stands and a spectrum of events.
